Mantles in Monster Hunter World are "Cloaks" players can wear on their backs that provide temporary buffs to their character. They provide effects such as camouflage or aggression, to remain unseen or to lure Monsters to chase after you into a trap. Below is a list of all known Mantles and their benefits.
A second Specialized Tool slot will unlock once you complete the quest Land of Convergence and fight the last Monster of the game (not counting DLC and Iceborne Expansion)
Note: You need to have obtained the base version of the mantle before you can obtain the plus version.
Boosters are placeable items that will release a mist that grants a beneficial effect while you or another hunter are standing in it.

We really need an Assassin's Hood mantle +. Capcom missed the opportunity to upgrade it. They upgraded all the other collaboration equipment. All I want is to put slots on my fav mantle.

for the impact mantle, you have to do a tempered radobaan investigation & a tempered barroth investigation, then you unlock the quest, not 5 different threat lvl 1 investigations

Fireproof Mantle 7★ quest "A Fiery Convergence" showed up at The Armory for me after completing the 6★ quest "The Sleeping Sylvan Queen". No idea if there are any more quests tied to starting "A Fiery Convergence", but I thought I'd share that sense it seems pretty ambiguous how you actually start it.
