Adjustments to the Guiding Lands

Adjustments have been made to make the Guiding Lands easier to play.
Future updates will feature more adjustments to make it easier to play.

Adjustment 1: Region Level change fluctuation adjusted
In the Guiding Lands, you can obtain different materials at each level, so adjustments have been made to how levels increase/decrease to make it easier to explore.
Region Level 1 - 2: No changes
Region Level 3 - 6: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 2 did before the update
Region Level 7: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 3 did before the update

Adjustment 2: Adjusted the drop rate of special tracks obtained from monsters in the Guiding Lands
Unanalyzed special tracks are now easier to obtain, making it easier to lure out specific monsters and control your region levels.
They are also now guaranteed upon capturing a monster, or carving from the monster's body or broken part.

Adjustment 3: Region levels can now be fixed
Settings have been added so that region levels will not fluctuate, and you can explore the Guiding Lands freely with fixed levels.

Fixed region levels are applied per player even during multiplayer.

If you set region levels to fixed, your own region levels will not fluctuate whether you're the quest leader or just joining another player's quest.
You can fix region levels at the quest board when you select the Guiding Lands.

Adjustment 4: Expedition Objective added to fixed region play
Added a "Fixed Region" parameter that can be set when departing to the Guiding Lands, or used as search criteria.
Use this setting when you want to let players know you're exploring with fixed levels, or if you want to search for expeditions using fixed levels.
This parameter will not fix region levels.
For instructions how to fix region levels, please see Adjustment 3.

Adjustment 5: Locating monsters in the Guiding Lands will no longer affect region level
The design of the Guiding Lands has been changed, as region level changing upon discovering a monster in the locale had an unintended effect.

In addition to this change, we are also exploring further changes to address the issue of intentional disconnects for resetting the Guiding Lands. While this should not affect players who enjoy the game normally, we'd like to ask for your patience as we look into implementing options that remove the need to attempt intentional disconnects.
    Fixed other minor bugs.

Changes

Guild Card Issues & Banned Word List

  • Certain poses and expressions cannot be selected when using a full armor set or layered armor related to the Horizon Zero Dawn or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collaborations.
    • If you have these poses or expressions already selected, they will be reverted back to the default “Crossed Arms” pose and “Expression 1” expression.
    • Expressions 6, 7, and 20 cannot be used in combination with the Aloy alpha full armor set, Aloy gamma full armor set, or the Aloy layered armor. There are currently no poses that cannot be used related to the Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration.
  • New words have been added to the banned word list for Simplified Chinese.
    • For those whose player name or Palico’s name is now banned they have an chance to edit it prior to this update
    • If a squad name contains a newly added banned word, the name will be replaced by asterisks, as squad names cannot be changed.

Player & Weapons Bug Fixes

  • A bug has been fixed that allowed players to use an item unintentionally.
  • When a weapon is drawn, players can either press Square (X) two times to sheathe their weapon and consume an item, or hold down Square (X) once to do both actions consecutively. However, if the Dash Settings are changed to allow running by using both the L3 (LS) and R1 (RB) buttons, players could use an item unintentionally if they held down the L3 (LS) button while tapping the Square button (X). This has been fixed so that tapping the Square button will not consume an item if the player is holding down a dash button.
  • A bug has been fixed that caused the Speed Crawler effect to stop working properly after update Ver. 5.21 (PS4) / 5.2.1.0 (Xbox One). It is now working as intended.

Dual Blades/Hammer/Hunting Horn/Insect Glaive/Light Bowgun/Heavy Bowgun

  • A bug has been fixed where a neutral attack would be performed when the player executed an attack with the left stick and the attack button while the player character was in the middle of a turning animation.
  • However, when the player character performs a Charged Upswing or Charged Brutal Upswing when turning while charging power, the design of the attack adds movement to the player motion when the game determines that they are holding the left stick forward. In this situation, players can perform a neutral Charged Upswing if they input the attack fast enough, and is not considered a bug.

Switch Axe

  • A bug has been fixed where the damage bonus from the Assassin’s Hood specialized tool only applied to the first attack of the Switch Axe’s Left Rising Slash in Sword mode instead of all 3 attacks.

Charge Blade

  • A bug has been fixed where the visual and sound effect of the Condensed Element Slash would play during a Rising Slash when the player releases the Triangle button (Y button on Xbox One) just before Condensed Element Slash finishes charging.

Insect Glaive

  • A bug has been fixed where the Quick Sheath skill would not activate when sheathing the weapon while the Kinsect is flying.

Light Bowgun/Heavy Bowgun

  • A bug has been fixed where ammo listed with a Fast or Normal reload speed would not automatically reload when aiming the Light Bowgun or Heavy Bowgun and pressing Triangle (Y button on Xbox One) just after aiming the weapon. It has been fixed so that it automatically reloads like ammo with a Slow or Very Slow reload speed.

 Miscellaneous Bug Fixes

  • An update in Ver. 5.20 (PS4) / Ver. 5.2.0.0 (Xbox One) accidentally changed the effective sound range of some slinger ammo, making it difficult to lure monsters. It has been changed back to the values from before Ver. 5.10 (PS4) / Ver. 5.1.0.0 (Xbox One).
  • Those affected were
    • Scatternut (smaller range)
    • Flash Pod (smaller range)
    • Screamer Pod (smaller range)
    • Brightmoss (larger range)
  • A bug has been fixed where a monster would be lured to a player’s position instead of the location where a slinger was fired during multiplayer quests.
  • A bug has been fixed on the Arch-tempered Kulve Taroth Kjárr weapons with the Critical Status skill, where the abnormal status values weren’t corrected properly when a critical hit landed.
  • A bug has been fixed on the Arch-tempered Kulve Taroth Kjárr weapons with the Critical Element skill, where the elemental attacks were corrected using both elemental damage values and abnormal status values when a critical hit landed.
  • A bug has been fixed that allowed those playing the Arch-tempered Kulve Taroth siege to receive siege rewards without breaking its horns, if they were online for over 8 hours and playing the siege at the 8-hour mark.
  • A bug was fixed that caused the Kulve Taroth appraisal weapons to be sorted in a strange manner when sorting equipment via Weapon Tree. This issue affected Long Sword, Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade and Bow.
  • A bug has been fixed that would not let players skip the opening cutscene during the Fury of El Dorado quest because the data containing if players skipped the cutscene wasn’t correctly delivered and process if it arrived before the cutscene started playing on someone’s console.
  • A bug has been fixed where the position of the item used to command Palicoes was changed in the item window and saved, but would be different once you went back to the game from the title screen.
  • A bug has been fixed where the player would be discovered by Gastodon when hitting them with slinger ammo or shooting near them, even if the player is wearing the Ghillie Mantle or hiding in the bushes.
    • Please note that even though this bug has been fixed, by design the player will be discovered again if the player is discovered and then hides using the Ghillie Mantle or in the bushes and fires at the Gastodon.
  • This update also includes other minor bug fixes.

Bug Fixes Stemming from Localization Issues

English/French/Italian/German/Spanish/Russian/Brazilian Portuguese/Polish/Arabic

  • In all languages except for Asian languages, the Assassin’s Hood specialized tool had two description text variations, but one of them failed to mention that damage to the monster would be increased.

    Previous description text:
Increases movement speed and allows you to hide quicker. Lasts until you deal damage to a monster caught unaware.

    New description text:
Increases movement speed and allows you to hide quicker. Deals big damage to a monster caught unaware, then the effect ends.

Brazilian Portuguese

  • In Polish, the translation for the new Kjárr Hammer “Gyre” weapon differed from existing naming conventions, so it has been fixed.

    Previous translation: 一次
    New translation: 全部

Note: Both languages use the same translation.

Traditional Chinese

  • Duplicate guild card titles were found in Traditional Chinese, so a number of translations have been updated.

    「人」 → 「人」 → 「中人」
    「マン」 → 「人」
    「ミー」 → 「我」 → 「自我」
    「わたし」 → 「我」
    「テオ」 → 「炎」 → 「炎王」
    「炎」 → 「炎」

If you were using the 「人」「我」「炎」 guild card titles, they may have been changed without notice. Please double check your guild card info to see if you were affected.

  • Several Charge Blade attack names and status translations were fixed to be consistent with each other.

    Previous Translation: 高出力屬性解放斬

Weapon Bug Fixes

Charge Blade

  • The bug where the visuals and sound effects for the charge blade’s Charged Double Slash didn’t match up depending on the combo route has been fixed. It has been fixed so that the visuals and sound effects match up regardless of the combo route.

Hunting Horn

  • On PS4 & Xbox
    • The bug where a music note would not apply if the player tried a jumping draw attack off a ledge while they have slinger ammo loaded has been fixed.
  • On Xbox
    • Fixed the UI bug where, if the player performed attacks in a specific order with the Empress Roar “Blaze” hunting horn, the “All Melody Effects Extended” message would appear even though the effects weren’t being extended.

Lance

  • Fixed the bug where pressing (R2+○ on Ps4; RT+B on Xbox) after a finishing twin thrust from a sliding charge would result in a high thrust. This has been fixed so that it matches the attack flow of a regular charge into a finishing twin thrust, so that a counter thrust now comes out instead.
  • Fixed the bug where, after performing a mid thrust upon landing from an advancing jump thrust, the button guide would incorrectly display Mid Thrust I instead of the proper name Mid Thrust II.
  • Fixed a bug where the game would perform a guard dash forward regardless of the direction the left stick is being pressed, if R2 (RT on Xbox) and the △ (Y on Xbox) button were pressed at the same time. This has been fixed so that even if the button inputs are slightly off, the guard dash will be performed in the direction the left stick is being pressed.

Light Bowgun/Heavy Bowgun

  • Fixed the bug for both bowgun types where draw attack skills would not activate if you perform a jumping reload draw attack when your ammo is not full.

Skills

  • Fixed the bug where the third level of the focus skill incorrectly stated that charge times would be reduced by 20% when the proper amount should be by 15%.

Sword & Shield

  • The bug where if the player fired their slinger with the weapon drawn and tried to fire one more time during the second half of the animation, the animation would not cancel and the second slinger shot would not come out has been fixed.

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the bug that caused network lag to occur during multiplayer on the Xbox One.
  • A bug existed in the Behemoth-related quests, where due to differences in terrain height, hiding behind a comet when Behemoth summons Ecliptic Meteor would not work. A counter-measure has been applied so that hiding behind a meteor will result in the player being recognized as close to the same height level. (This is not 100% guaranteed to work.)
  • Fixed the bug where, during any Zorah Magdaros quest where Zorah goes from standing on its hind legs to standing on all four legs, any attack such as falling boulders that cause Zorah to flinch would revert him to his hind leg position for a moment.
  • Fixed a bug where players would immediately be spotted by a monster during special arena quests if players left at the same time while network or console differences existed between the players.
  • Fixed a bug where, if the Ghillie Mantle is selected in the item window when running out of any other item, the item window cursor would move one spot to the left without player input.

  • The bug where the reward item “Lunastra Ticket”, from the event quest “When Blue Dust Surpasses Red Lust”, would be placed in your item pouch or item box as a consumable item and could not be used as a material. This occurred even after the item had been converted from an “Unavailable” item, after you had updated to version 5.10 after having experienced the bug in which you obtained the “Unavailable” item instead of the “Lunastra Ticket” (which occurred from completing the quest “When Blue Dust Surpasses Red Lust” without updating to version 5.10) has been fixed.
    • Updating to version 5.11 will take any Lunastra Tickets from the consumables in your item pouch or item box and replace them into your material item box.
  • Additionally, please note that though the delivery request “Blooming Sakura” is designed to unlock by speaking to the Smithy after you’ve obtained a Lunastra Ticket, the request will not unlock if the Lunastra Ticket you possess is converted from an “Unavailable” item after having updated to version 5.10 or higher.
    • If the request does not unlock after speaking to the Smithy, please update to version 5.11 and reobtain Lunastra Tickets by completing the event quest “When Blue Dust Surpasses Red Lust” again. Then speak to the Smithy to unlock the request.

Arch Tempered Kushala Daora Bug Fix

  • Kushala Daora’s wind armor normally repels arrows and bowgun shots, but arch-tempered Kushala Daora’s wind armor unintentionally did not repel these attacks. This issue has been rectified so that tempered and arch-tempered Kushala Daora will now repel those attacks when its wind armor is active.

Xeno’jiiva Bug Fix

  • A bug has been fixed that caused Xeno’jiiva’s tail to gain resistance when switching to multiplayer mode via SOS, causing it to become harder to sever.

Other Bug Fix

  • This update also includes other minor bug fixes.

Patch Version: 5.10 (PS4) / 5.1.0 (Xbox One)

Platform: PS4 (??MB), Xbox One (?? MB)

Date: Oct 4m 2018

Changes

  • This update includes quality of life changes to Arch Tempered monster quests, certain combat bugs, various other bug fixes, and tons of localization fixes.

Quality of Life Changes

Major Additions and Changes

  • “Warped Feystone” drop rate has been increased for the following quests:
    • Relish the Moment (Tempered Deviljho): Fucium Ore → Warped Feystone
    • The Deathly Quiet Curtain (Arch-tempered Vaal Hazak): Dreamcore Ore → Warped Feystone
    • A Whisper of White Mane (Arch-tempered Kirin): Dreamcore Ore → Warped Feystone
    • The Scorn of the Sun (Arch-tempered Teostra): Dreamcore Ore → Warped Feystone
    • The Eye of the Storm (Arch-tempered Kushala Daora): Dreamcore Ore → Warped Feystone
      • This is great for players as it attempts to retain more players completing these quests. I know once I got my tickets for my armor/layered armor I never touched the quests again due to the low marginal benefit of the quests.
  • Solved the disconnecting exploit that would allow players to keep their pursuit level in the Kulve Taroth Siege by intentionally disconnecting
    • Now players cannot post or join another quest for the same Kulve Taroth after claiming rewards once. If you cannot post or join a Kulve Taroth quest, you must either wait until the other players in the session have repelled the Kulve Taroth, or move to a different session. Then you will be able to post or join quests for a new Kulve Taroth.
  • Adjusted the order of melding ingredients at the Elder Melder. It now will use the same sorting method used for items.
    • In previous updates, new items were added to the end of the ingredient list, but now new additions will now follow this new sorting method.
    • No items have been removed from the current ingredient list.

Bug Fixes Affecting Combat

Bow

  • Bug where Dragon Piercer would fire outside the intended range when pressing the L2 button (PS4) or the left trigger (Xbox One) just as you release an arrow when the camera is facing outside the intended aim range was fixed.

Charge Blade

  • Bug where, if your Charge action is interrupted by damage when chaining it into a Condensed Element Slash in order to power up your Sword Mode attacks, the next attack will no longer mistakenly benefit from additional hits from phial effects was fixed.

Dual Blades

  • Bug where graphic and sound effects were not triggering correctly when exiting Demon Mode after any of the various combos was fixed.

“Critical Draw” and “Punishing Draw” Skills Bugs

  • Bug where the effects from “Critical Draw” and “Punishing Draw” would expire before you could do damage with your weapon, due to unrelated, continuous damage sources such as torch pods was fixed.

Various Bug Fixes

  • The bug where, if you own the Kinsect “True Dragon Soul”, the Smithy equipment forging screen would display an icon showing that you owned “Kulve Taroth’s Fury α” when you do not actually own it was fixed.
  • The bug where, when sorting equipment at the item box, sorting weapons by the “Great Sword” category would also sort Sever-type Kinsects to the top of the list, and sorting weapons by the “Sword & Shield” category would also sort Blunt-type Kinsects to the top of the list was fixed.
  • Fixed the bug where squad information may be deleted.
    • This occurs due to delays in server requests, as a result of switching between save data too many times in a row, or repeating the process of frequently refreshing guild cards before immediately signing out. Please note that we cannot recover squad information that was lost prior to this update.
  • The bug that impacted players who were unable to unlock the 8★ quest “Lightning Strikes Twice” was fixed.
    • This issue occurred very rarely in high rank quests and expeditions, preventing research points from accumulating when you collect high rank Kirin traces. Updating to version 5.10 will allow the quest to unlock, but you must re-gather the necessary research points.

Xbox One Only:
Improved the processing of the retrieval of session information to reduce the incidence of the error code “50088-MW1”, which would prevent you from joining online sessions.

  • The bug where the notification beginning “Continuing the game in offline mode was fixed.
    • To connect…” would not display when a communication error (Xbox Live, or from being disconnected) occurs when creating or joining a new online session while already in a session.
  • Fixed the bug in the Wildspire Waste where you could lock your focus camera to an empty spot, by locking onto the spot where Cactuar would appear before they actually appear.
  • Fixed a bug where your Palico would fail to restore you after running over to hit you to recover from paralysis or sleep (as a result of using the “signal” command as it runs over, causing an error in its movement destination).
  • Fixed the bug where the effects of Demondrug, Mega Demondrug, Armorskin, and Mega Armorskin that were applied to a Palico via the skill “Wide-Range” would expire for the Palico when they fainted in combat, but the expiration of these effects would not be properly synced between the players during multiplayer.
  • The bug where a monster hit with the Dragonator by a guest player in a Special Arena quest would not properly flinch from the attack, if the host player is far from the monster and accessing the supply box or otherwise waiting in camp was fixed.
  • Fixed bugs that occur when (a) you are targeting a large monster with the target camera and its icon on the lower left part of the screen is grayed out, (b) the icon of the monster you are targeting is the furthest icon on the left, and (c) either of the following occur.
    • When using the focus camera, the target would switch away from the large monster when a small monster’s icon was added to the leftmost end of the target list.
    • When using the target camera, the target would switch away from the large monster when a small monster disappears from the target list.
  • The bug where the health gauge wouldn’t properly change color after being inflicted with the poison or bleeding status after finishing a monster mount was fixed.
  • Fixed the bug where the order of items in the item bar would change unintentionally when you change your equipment loadout and your items are lined up in certain ways.
  • Fixed the bug where the order of items in the item bar would change unintentionally when you register an item loadout when you have supply items. When saving an item loadout, the order of items registered will ignore supply item data, and supply items obtained again afterwards may be in a different order, but this is not a bug.
  • The bug where female characters’ hair would not move properly after equipping the head armor “Shadow Shades” or the layered head armor for ‘Bushi Kabuto “Sabi”‘ and ‘Bushi Kabuto “Homare”‘ was fixed.
  • Other minor bug fixes were done.

Patch Version: 4.01 (PS4) / 4.0.1 (Xbox One)

Platform: PS4 (92MB), Xbox One (79 MB)

Date: June 14, 2018 (UTC) June 13, 2018 (EDT)

Addition & Changes

  • This update includes minor bug fixes.

The following changes were implemented during the update 4.00/4.0.0.0.

  • With the addition of Lunastra and Teostra in update Ver. 4.00/4.0.0.0, they have now also been added to the pool of Threat Level 3 investigations.
  • The draw chance for certain tempered elder dragon investigations have been revised.
  • All Threat Level 3 investigations now have an equal chance of having increased special reward slots. Originally, varying values were used to determine the number of special reward slots for each tempered elder dragon investigation, but these have all been matched to the value for Vaal Hazak, which was the highest.
    • You may see increased special reward slots for Threat Level 3 investigations that you possessed before this fix was applied in Ver. 4.00/4.0.0.0.
    • The chance for increased special reward slots for tempered Vaal Hazak has not changed. (Since it was the highest)
  • The search conditions have been relaxed for the Online Session “Matchmake” search option. (If you are HR 100 or higher, “Matchmake” may put you in Online Sessions made by players between HR 100 and HR 999.)
  • The naming method for investigations in other languages has been changed to match the Japanese. Investigation names now include the main target in addition to the quest type (hunt, capture, or slay). Affected languages include: Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Spanish.
    • Example:
Slaying Investigation ⇒ Slay: Great Jagras
Hunting Investigation ⇒ Hunt: Great Jagras
Great Hunting Investigation ⇒ Hunt: Great Jagras, etc.
Capture Investigation ⇒ Capture: Great Jagras
  • Mistakes were corrected in the Asian version text for Traditional Chinese and Russian customer support information.

Bug Fixes

  • The light settings of the guild card have been adjusted to make it look similar to the lighting before Ver. 1.06.

  • Fixed a bug where Kulve Taroth would go into an attack phase in area 1 and would not move to the next area, resulting in the siege becoming impossible to complete.
  • Fixed a bug where the siege of Kulve Taroth would end when a member of the siege goes to another quest, expedition or to the training area. This has been fixed so the siege can be continued.
  • Fixed a bug that occurs during the “Banquet in the Earthen Hall” quest when you open your Hunter’s Notes while in the tent just as Kulve Taroth’s horns are completely broken, causing the battle music to continue playing while the quest complete music plays on top of it.
  • Fixed terrain-related bugs in some locales.
  • Fixed a bug where a player would get an infinite buff under certain criteria upon a successful Foresight Slash.
  • Fixed a phenomenon where specific controls would allow you to link the Charge Blade’s Super Amped Element Discharge into an Amped Element Discharge. This was unintended and after considering how it affects the game’s balance, it has been removed.

  • Fixed a bug that caused Gastodon to spot players in their territory even when wearing a Ghillie Mantle or hiding in bushes.
  • Fixed an issue where gestures could be performed when afflicted with any five elemental blights, blastblight, bleeding, but could not be performed when poisoned or afflicted with effluvium.

  • Due to a data error, Taroth Strongarm “King” (Rarity 7) parameters were the same as King Gold Cutter (Rarity 6) in all areas except for number of augmentation slots. The Taroth Strongarm “King” has been updated with the following values.
    Elemental Value: Fire 12 > Fire 18
    Affinity: 20 > 30
  • Due to a data error, Felyne Lavasioth Helm α’s elemental resistance had the same values as Felyne Uragaan Helm α. The following values are now applied to Felyne Lavasioth Helm α.
    Fire Resistance: 4 > 3
    Water Resistance: -3 > -3
    Thunder Resistance: 1 > -1
    Ice Resistance: -2 > 1
    Dragon Resistance: -2 > 3
  • The Felyne Azure Star series was mistakenly marked as rarity 2 from Ver. 2.00 and onward. It has now been reverted back to rarity 3.
  • Fixed a bug where a beard set on a female character during character creation would not appear when equipping the Kulve Taroth β armor set.
  • The following bugs related to armor appearance have been fixed.

    1. Some visual bugs affecting the female Azure Starlord Armor α were fixed.

    2. Some visual bugs affecting the female Rathalos Coil β and Rath Soul Coil β armor were fixed.

    3. Some visual bugs affecting the female Vaal Hazak Braces α armor were fixed.

    4. Hair pops out less now while wearing the female Xeno’jiiva Headgear α/β, Vaal Hazak Helm α, Jyura Helm α, and Blossom Headgear α armor.

    1. Kulve Taroth’s name in Chinese has been changed.
    Before: 爛輝龍
    Now: 絢輝龍

    2. Caverns of El Dorado’s translated name was inconsistent, so it has been normalized as “地脈黃金鄉”.

  • In all languages except Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese, the following bugs were fixed.

    1. There was a mistranslation when checking the abilities of the Recoil Suppressor while customizing the bowgun at the Smithy, causing an undesired result.
The translation has been fixed, and the Recoil Suppressor abilities are now displayed correctly.

    2. A bug was fixed where alert info for breaking Kulve Taroth’s right and left gold tail plating were reversed.

  • The following bugs were fixed in French.

Patch Version: 3.02 (PS4) / 3.0.0.2 (Xbox One)

Platform: PS4 (90MB), Xbox One (80 MB)
Date:
April 26th 2018

Changes:

  • Fixed a bug where the Kulve Taroth Siege quest line would not progress correctly under certain conditions (specifically: if you speak to the Admiral out in the field when participating in another player’s instance of the “A Wound and a Thirst” or similar quests, after having collected Kulve Taroth traces but BEFORE having spoken to him separately in Astera). Players who have encountered this bug already can return to Astera and speak with the Admiral, triggering the council scene, after which the Kulve Taroth Siege will become available.
  • Fixed a bug where the great sword Wyvern Ignition “Impact” saw its fire elemental attack value unintentionally reduced to 240. The value has been reset to 510.
  • Fixed some bugs in the data collection for the statistical summaries given to you by speaking to the First Wyverian (weapon usage, number of monsters slain, etc.). Data will be progressively reset starting on April 26. For the duration, the First Wyverian will not give out any statistical information, but this should not affect gameplay in any other way. Please note that the statistical data may be low in accuracy for a short time after the process has finished.

Patch Version: Version 1.05 (PS4) / 1.0.0.10 (Xbox One)
Platform: PS4, Xbox One
Date: February 9th 2018

Changes:

Squads (PlayStation 4)

Fixed an issue where the error message "Failed to retrieve squad information. Please wait and try again." would appear and squad features would not be usable. However, as a result of this fix, players who were affected by this bug will have all of their squad data reset. Additionally, players in squads whose squad leaders have their data reset will also see any affiliated data disappear the next time they log in. We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience, and ask that you reform squads or reinvite players whose data are lost.
Fixed an issue where, rarely, uninvited non-squad members could join a Squad Online Session, or squad members could not join one of their own. Squad Online Sessions can still be joined by players outside of the squad via friend invite or Online Session ID search.

5 Million Celebration Item Pack

Fixed an issue where some players could not claim the item pack "5 Million Celebration Item Pack". The availability for this item pack has been extended to February 22, 23:59 (UTC).

Decorations

Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, decorations would be lost.
Fixed an issue that occurred when selecting items with the "Sell Items" option (from the item box inside base camp tents) by hiding the decorations tab.

General Light Bowgun and Heavy Bowgun ammo changes

Increased the power of Normal Ammo (1, 2, 3), Pierce Ammo (1, 2, 3), and all elemental ammo (except Dragon Ammo).
Decreased the power of Slicing Ammo, and reduced the effect it has when hitting other players.
Reduced the maximum number of Slashberries you can hold in your item pouch from 60 to 30. Players can still use any remaining extra Slashberries if they currently have more than 30 in their item pouch.

Elderseal

Readjusted the Elderseal calculation for dragon pods.

Endemic Life

Fixed an issue where information on endemic life would disappear from the Wildlife Map when moving about the field.

Quests

Fixed an issue where the assignment "Flying Sparks: Tobi-Kadachi" would not appear on the quest board after departing on a different quest in the middle of speaking with the Chief Botanist just before the quest is first assigned.
Fixed a rare bug that would cause players to lose control of their characters when completing a quest with certain start menu sub-menus open.

Xbox One matchmaking

Our development team is also working tirelessly on pinpointing the issues with matchmaking on Xbox One. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued patience and support as we track down and solve these issues.

In the meantime, if you’re unable to use the “Matchmake” option to connect to other hunters, you may still be able to create online lobbies, join others’ lobbies via “Filter Search”, “Invite a Friend”, connect via Xbox One LFG, or join hunts by using the “Respond to SOS” feature.

And in case you haven’t tried this yet, it’s been reported that some hunters have had success using the “Matchmake” feature after setting their NAT connection settings to “Open” on their Xbox One.

(This patch also removed the Decoration Duplicating glitch without mentioning it in the patch notes)
