Affinity Booster is a type of Specialized Tool in Monster Hunter World.
How to Get Affinity Booster
The Affinity Booster is an award for completing a quest chain provided by various NPCs within the Research Base.
- HR6 Optional Quest A Tingling Taste to trigger the chain quest. Note : The quest doesn't have a bubble mark.
- Delivery A Master's Toast
- Talk to the third fleet master first after completing A Tingling Taste
- Given by the third fleet provisioner
- HR6 Optional Quest Stuck in their Ways
- Given by Shy Scholar in the Research Base
- Delivery A Fire-Spewing Brew
- Player must first have slayed or captured a Dodogama
- Given by the Cheerful Scholar in the Research Base
- HR7 Optional Quest A Sore Site
- Given by Airship Engineer in Research Base
- HR7 Optional Quest which gives the item is RRRRRumble in the Waste!
- Given by Third Fleet Master
Affinity Booster Notes
- Much like the Health and Cleanser Boosters, using the Affinity Booster places a temporary cloud of red smoke on the ground which can be used by allies.
- Entering the cloud gives you a 50% affinity buff, adding your current affinity up to a maximum of 100%.
- While the cloud lasts 60 seconds, the buff itself lasts 20 seconds. You can re-enter the cloud (or stay inside) to refresh the buff.
- The 20 seconds buff persists for the full duration after the cloud disappears, meaning you can benefit from its effect for up to 80 seconds.

I didn't get the rrrrumble quest step at first either so I went and killed both a diablos and a black diablos and the quest step showed up

If you haven't checked yet, head to the Research Base and look for the Airship Engineer by the Third Fleet Master at the top of the base. It took me forever to notice that guy had the Sore Site quest for me.

I beat every optional quest in basegame and IB. Never seen this item and obviously dont need it after beating the entire game without. Just really annoying so many potentially useful items are so deeply hidden. It renders them basically worthless.

Guys please help. I am trying to do the affinity booster questline after I've gotten pretty far into the iceborne arc. All I have left is for the third fleet master to give me rumble in the waste. But since she moved to seliana she is not giving me the quest...what do I do??? SOS

I'd really like to know what the difference is between the original affinity booster and the affinity booster+ Cause so far I don't see a difference. It stays on for the same amount of time, the buff still sticks to you for 20 seconds, it doesn't recharge faster, and it still gives you 50% affinity with the effect. What the heck, did I do that crazy quest for nothing?

So it starts off at a tingling toast qst. Then you need to go to the third commander to get the next part of the qst line.

Make sure you send your cats out from the 3rd Fleet base. The Tailraider Safari cinematic clip stopped the quests from showing up for me, look for Lynian Expert.

welp i completed every single optional quest available to me, and i have no booster great...

To get the affinity Booster you have to speak to the leaderin of the 3rd fleet again. (after finishing RRRRRrumble in the waste).

Glitched for me, help!!! Have done ``Tingling Taste´´ and have hunted tobi but ``A Master's Toast´´ havent appeard yet. Do I have to wait?

This one is really help out so I come to share it :) (to get second[A Master's Toast] quest you need to hunt Tobi-Kadachi 1 time, I don't know it's a glitch or not)

For those of you who can't find the quest: The Research Base is where all the quests are given and finished.

If anyone is unable to get the quest, you gotta do "Tingling Taste". Once you do that, you'll be given a string of quests (A few deliveries, a few hunts/captures) which will give you mostly ingredients for the Canteen. After "A Sore Site" you SHOULD get Rumble in the Wastes.

I don't know who wrote that, but it's completely wrong. It's not a mantle nor is there an Azure Rathalos nest in the Wildspire Wastes.
Affinity goes from -100% to 100%. What the heck is this 360, 500+ nonsense?

I was able to reach 600% Affinity with the Encouraging Words buff applied.

I'm already past Mr 150 and I don't even have Access to a tingling taste how would I get it?
