Attack Boost is a Skill in Monster Hunter World (MHW).
Attack Boost Effect
Attack Boost is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
Level 1: Attack +3- Level 2: Attack +6
- Level 3: Attack +9
- Level 4: Attack +12 Affinity +5%
- Level 5: Attack +15 Affinity +5%
- Level 6: Attack +18 Affinity +5%
- Level 7: Attack +21 Affinity +5%

Anonymousthis skill is a trap. Only use it if you have nothing else to fit in your build. Peak performance + health augment, Coalesence + blight resistance 2, critical boost, all of these skills not only make your hunts comfier, but also cost less armor points and give a near similar boost in attack.

So does the affinity bonus of 5% stack with each subsequent level or is it just a flat 5% increase whether you're level 4 or level 7?

Alright, so just to actually put the pertinent information here (although this is a wiki, I'm not sure if one could just edit the page), from what I understand attack power boost gets multiplied by a weapon's class modifier, with a list of said modifiers on the "attack power" page. So if I'm using a charge blade and have a boost of +9 attack, what I'm really getting is a boost of 32 attack since charge blade has a 3.6x class multiplier. A greatsword with a full +21 attack would be getting around 100 extra attack in reality as GS has a 4.8x modifier. So basically attack boost isn't nearly as sad and negligible as it might initially seem.

How exactly does the +3 affects the damage? Do you do +3 damage to monsters (would be weak)
does it increase the weapon damage by 3 (would be weak too) so what are the maths behind?
Same for Defenseboost?
WOW, where in MHW are the attack jewels? I have one and have never got another one. I have over 500 hours in and still just ONE attack jewel.

The maths aren't adding up. Attack 1 is giving me +9 attack not +3. Attack 2 +19 not +6.

i have completed the story and all optional quest pre iceborn.
To my understanding i was supposed to get a guarenteed attack deco lvl 1?
I have not gotten this which quest gives this gem?
