Brute Tigrex is a Large Monster in Monster Hunter World (MHW). ティガレックス亜種 (tigarekkusu ashu) in Japanese. It is a subspecies of Tigrex. Brute Tigrex is a highly aggressive Flying Wyvern, known for its relentless nature that surpasses even the formidable reputation of the regular Tigrex. Encountered in the Guiding Lands, it becomes hostile if a hunter obstructs its path for too long. In battle, it enters an enraged state marked by red eyes and increased roaring, Hunters should be cautious of its damaging roars.

Brute Tigrex Combat Tips
- Ensure that your armor is either high-rank or master-rank with strong defense against physical and dragon damage. Focus on sets that offer high ice resistance, given Brute Tigrex's ice attacks. Additionally, consider wielding a thunder-element weapon to exploit its weakness and deal increased damage.
- Consider wielding weapons with status effects like Paralysis or Sleep to gain control over the fight and create openings for damage.
- Brute Tigrex introduces new attack combinations, such as a paw slam and arm sweep. Stay alert and ready to evade these maneuvers. Frequent roars are part of its arsenal, and it's advisable to bring Earplugs to mitigate their disruptive effects. The sonic beam attack has an unexpectedly broad range, so learning visual cues is essential for effective dodging.
- In the Guiding Lands, take advantage of environmental traps and hazards to augment your damage output. Strive to mount Brute Tigrex during the battle to create openings for attacks and provide yourself with strategic breathing room.
- Coordinate with teammates to share information about its movements and coordinate attacks. Divide roles efficiently, allowing one teammate to distract while others focus on dealing damage or providing support.
- Maintain a substantial supply of Mega Potions for rapid healing during the fight. Utilize items like Mega Demondrug and Mega Armorskin to enhance both offense and defense.
- Master the art of dodging roars by learning the timing of Brute Tigrex's attacks. Evade or block accordingly. Look for opportune moments to counterattack after specific moves.
- Customize your armor skills to suit your playstyle. Skills like Health Boost, Evade Window, and Thunder Attack can significantly enhance your performance. If possible, consider using augments to add defensive or offensive enhancements to your weapon for added flexibility.

General tigrex and barioth tip, every fore limb break is a knock down, you don't want to break one during a wall smash knock down, you'll waste it. Just sma***** up, then go to the head if you've been beating it up a lot and feel it'll break soon. His weak roars are a good chance to clutch and wall smash him.beware of his strong Roar Shockwave when enraged.

Hi, guys. With maxed out Shara I. armor, a mega armorskin and level 3 defense meal (fish), you can tank Brute Tigrex even without augments (my Guiding L. are all level 1, I'm just fighting MR 70+ stuff through events.)
Most Brute T. hits will remove 15 to 20% of your health. Only its enraged and really quick charges remove about 40% of your HP. Still doable. :)

I don't understand I got level 6 on my rotted region, Im master rank 98 BUT STILL haven't got his quest yet! pls someone explain this
- Anonymous
I don't know if it's cheating so don't hate on this but I was going on my day doing an SOS flare for the guiding lands and trying to get level 6 on my rotten vale. When I got in I found out there is a mysterious monster so of course i went to check. Until I went to the rotten vale I saw it... BRUTE TIGREX!! I really couldn't believe I saw him before the intial quest. I wanted to help fight it but sadly got killed by the other hunters in seconds when I came. I got this same scenario for 3 times (except the getting killed instantly part). I learned it's movements and I knew I was already prepared before the Brute Tigrex encounter when I get rotten vale level 6.

This Tiger hits you like a bullet train...slow weapons and HBG are pointless against him

I like how, after fighting this beast, you can “brag” about being REEEEEEEEEEEEE’d to death.
- Anonymous
I think they really should have made the brute tigrex switch axe go REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE during the elemental discharge.

Why did they left out the hammer even though they already have the proper model from the normal Tigrex hammer? Capcom you trippin?
- Anonymous
First time fighting him was the "Roar that Splinters the Sky" Event Quest. Easiest fight ever, don't know what I was so scared of. Just went in with Spread 3 HBG and absolutely clapped his cheeks with np at all.
- Anonymous
why do its weapons have sleep attribute? nothing about the monster sends you to sleep. hell why do normal tigrex have blast when the monster hasten got explosion powers ? I get the game designers wanted to give us some options for fighting ice dragon but we got glavanus and brakidios for new weapons or you can upgrade your old rathian weapons for fire or hell dodogama for blast if you want to keep your old equipment so this seams like a slip up.

How much dirt will I eat whilst being REEEEEE’d into the ground?

This hunt was single handedly the most disappointing hunt. I though he would provide some sort of challenge, a Tigrex with a major attack boost and great new moves. But no. It was just, "MMMM YES I ROAR WOULD YOU LIKE TO HERE ME ROAR!? AGAIN YOU SAY MMMM YES ROAR IS FUN RIGHT!?" It was just awful. He just roared. And missed. I got hit like twice. Brute disappointed me...
- Anonymous
Don't let the name scare you, definitely an easier fight than normal Tigrex was (when you got to him in the story). Spends a lot of time just standing and screaming
