Catastrophe's Light Information

Notes & Tips

  • This weapon has the highest base damage of any elemental Insect Glaive
  • This weapon has the highest base Blue Sharpness level of any Insect Glaive and a maxed out sharpness gauge, meaning the skill Handicraft has no effect on this weapon.
  • Like all Nergigante weapons, this glaive is extremely versatile due to its incredibly high blue sharpness level and high base damage.
  • This weapon is unable to achieve White Sharpness, which means its sharpness-related damage potential is at its maximum out of the box.
  • This weapon's damage is potentially outclassed by weapons that are benefited by Handicraft and can reach white sharpness. However, Catastrophe's Light has the edge on most other glaives if Handicraft is not being used. It can be used effectively no matter what armor & skills are being used, making it an extremely versatile and reliable weapon.

This maybe safest choice to get Elderseal in early HR, since Xeno'Jiiva not really a threat due its attack speed still inferior to Nergigante. But maybe Xeno'Jiiva quite hard to find

Catastrophe's light upgrades into Ruinous Catastrophe, and requires 3 Annihilating Greathorns, 4 Nergigante Hardclaws, 5 Eternal Regrowth Plats, 1 Large Elder Dragon Gem and 80,000 Zenny to craft. Stats are: 899 Attack, White Sharpness, 0% affinity, 180 Dragon, High Elderseal, a single level 1 gem slot, and a sever kinsect boost.

Shouldn't this be showing the Ore tree, rather than the Bone tree, since the Catastrophe's Light comes from that one?
