Hasten Recovery is a Skill in Monster Hunter World (MHW). This skill is activated by Set Bonuses: Nergigante Hunger and Nergigante Dominance.
Hasten Recovery Effect
Hasten Recovery has only 1 level:
- Level 1: Regenerates your health as you continually attack a monster. Recovery varies by weapon
The skill regenerates a set amount of health if you hit the monster at least 5 times within 5 seconds (every hit exceeding the first every second won't be counted).
The amount regenerated is as following:
- 20 HP: Greatsword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Gunlance
- 10 HP: Longsword, Lance, Switch Axe, Charge Blade, Insect Glaive
- 5 HP: Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Bow, Heavy Bowgun, Light Bowgun
Equipment that grants Hasten Recovery
Hasten Recovery is a bonus skill obtained by
- Nergigante Hunger: Equipping any 3 pieces of Nergigante Alpha Armor Set, Nergigante Beta Armor Set or Nergigante Gamma Armor Set
- Any Lunastra weapons from the "Ruin" tree
- Nergigante Ambition: Equipping any 2 pieces of Ruiner Nergi Alpha + Armor Set or Ruiner Nergi Beta + Armor Set
- New World: Equipping any 2 pieces of Artemis Alpha + Armor.

They nerfed this, hasten recovery used to work on per hit like the augment back in the day, but they got pissed off about it because of my immortality build :)

Health regen augment is the same as Affinity in terms of boost. The health regen augments are 10% + 5% + 5% for each of the three augments (just like affinity). So you can get a 20% regen hp LIFESTEAL per hit. Obviously this means that higher damaging hits will heal more, but faster weapon's will heal just as much in the long run with their weak hits because they deal it out faster. The ONLY skill that boosts the HP Regen Augments is Recovery Up. Recovery Speed DOES NOT affect anything but the red recoverable HP. Recovery UP however affects Potions, Mushrooms, Nergs Set bonus, Vall's set bonus and HP Regen Augments. Nergigante's set only heals every so many hits (depends on the weapon), unlike HP Regen Augments, which heal on every hit. With Recovery Up on HP Regen Augments, it is boosted to 13% with one augment, 19.5% with two and 26% with three.

So is this just completely worthless for GS because it's so slow? The description makes it sound like you need to hit the monster at least once every second for 5 seconds, and that process can't be sped up or slowed down. It seems really bad for most weapons if that's the case, because while Lance should have absolutely no problem doing that, GS would be completely unable to meet that without using wide and rising slash, and weapons like Hammer or HH would have a hard time doing it while the monster is up and moving. Even DB might find it a little tricky because of how sporadic its attacks can be. I don't know if I'm misinterpreting the description but it sounds really bad. It just seems like there's nowhere near enough wiggle room to use effectively.
