Petalcryst is an Account Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW) Iceborne. These items do not appear in your Item Pouch, and are used for Resource Points instead.
Rare flower from the Hoarfrost Reach. Beautiful as any jewel, evanescent as a flake of snow.
How to get Petalcryst
This item can be obtained by finding the unique gathering point spawning only during "Flourishing: Frozen Foliage" in the Hoarfrost Reach. Gathering it for the first time will unlock the Crystal Quaff ingredient at the Canteen
First you will want to start your expedition or quest in the Western Camp in area 5. Jump down the cliff to the right and head straight towards area 4. At the crossroads between areas 2, 4 and 5 you will see a hole in the wall, crawl inside.
When in the cave, go down the slope but don't jump down. Take one turn left on the slope then look to your right and try to spot an alcove in the wall. There are lots of Frozen Foliage in the cave, they can yield you Snowpeak Icebloom, which unlocks another Canteen ingredient.
And voilà! The Petalcryst can be gathered from this particular node of Frozen Foliage.

Took me about 15 map resets to finally get it. I was starting to think that I did not fulfil some sort of pre-requisites. Geomancy Charm felt like it did nothing, lol.
