Piscine Researcher is an NPC in Monster Hunter World (MHW). NPCs are non-playable characters that interact with the Hunter during the story or optional activities in game.

A man full of passion, archiving his research on the creatures that lurks in the peaceful water of the New World. He challenges the Hunter to catch multiple species. Will the student surpass their master?

Locations

When choosing a destination from the map, make sure there is "Piscine Researcher" in the Field Researcher section. He then appears on the map and minimap as a green dot.

About the Piscine Researcher

He's a lone-wolf angler seeking new discoveries. Fishing is his reason for living. He conquered every variety of fish in the Old World and got hooked by the Commission. He heads piscine research for the endemic life field guide. Basically, he catches, records, and then releases.

Besides his research into fish species, he is also looking for companions to fish with. He is the best person to ask about the art of fishing and fish. He can also sometimes be seen catching real whoppers.

He dresses in the styles of a fisherman with his wide-brimmed hat, leather vest, and boots appropriate for water.
