Rathian Essence is unlocked by equipping 2 pieces from the Rathian Alpha + (α) Se,Rathian Beta + (β) Set, Rath Heart Alpha + Armor Set and Rath Heart Beta + Armor Set:

      This is 25% damage increase to 1-star weakness, 20% to 2-star weakness and 15.3% to 3-star weakness. Since poison damage is neglible to 1-star weakness monsters, expected poison damage increase is about 17.5%. Since the armor sets providing this are only rank 9, I do not see reason to invest into this.
