Twilight Stone is an Account Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These items do not appear in your Item Pouch, and are used for Resource Points instead.
A special gem from the Elder's Recess. The color of a sinking sun.
How to get Twilight Stone
This item can be obtained by finding the unique gathering point spawning only during "Upsurge: Amber Deposits" in the Elder's Recess. Gathering it for the first time will unlock the Wyvern Filet ingredient at the Canteen.
To get to this item, you need to complete the Cultural Exchange: Gajalaka Linguistics II critical bounty which unlock access to the Gajalaka hideout.
Then start from their camp and look for a passage to the south:
Simply follow the path, careful to not jump down at the end, and it will be here along a Beryl Deposit:

You can find it near the north-west camp , just look up at the waterfall . It has to be during upsurge and u have to unlock the Gajalaka tunnels . It may also have other spawn points , but that is the one i found .

If anyone was wondering, you can find this in Master Rank expedition during Upsurge: Amber Deposits. I'm assuming this is the case for other canteen ingredients?

I tried loads of expeditions (PC) and it never spawned so i did a normal easy quest and on my next expedition the Amber was there

its not a beryl deposit though, the orange colored ones are called amber deposit adn it is not always there as it took me 3 tries to find
