Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is a Large Monster in Monster Hunter World (MHW). ツィツィヤック (眩鳥) in Japanese. This monster possesses a unique ability to blind both prey and adversaries with dazzling flashes. Standing as a target in quests such as A Tzitzi For Science, Troubled Troupers, Say Cheese!, and A Flash in the Pan, the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku becomes hostile when provoked or if one lingers too long in its presence. Utilizing its robust legs, it delivers decisive finishing blows to its victims
This odd monster blinds both prey and enemies with a special pulsing organ near its head. It then uses its strong legs to deliver finishing blows.

Tzitzi-Ya-Ku Combat Info
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku has the ability to perform a special attack where blinding light emanates from its head. The attack will cause Stun.
- This attack cannot be avoided by looking away from it.
- It has a telegraphed pattern beforehand that warns hunters of the range it will cover.
- To avoid the attack, stay out of the stun range.
- The stun will activate even if the hunter or camera is facing away.
- The flash attack can be blocked by looking at it with a shield up. (Gunlance, Lance, etc.)
- This large monster can perform powerful kicks
- A major weak spot is the head, which doubles as a breakable part.
- Weak to Thunder and Ice
- Kinsect Extract:
- Red: Antennae, Forearms
- Orange: Head, Tail
- White: Body
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku's organs begin to radiate before it releases its blinding pulse, giving you enough time to escape and flank it. Damaging this organ will dramatically reduce the flash's effective range and can even nullify it entirely.
- While in it's nest it is able to reflect flashes off of reflective shells on the walls to extend the flash range and change angles
- Master Rank Changes:
- While charging its Flash ability, Tzitzi can move away from the hunter if they get to close. It will do this up to two times after every little Flash.
Tzitzi-Ya-Ku Combat Tips
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is weak against thunder and ice elements. Equip weapons or ammunition with these elements for maximum effectiveness.
- The head is the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku's only weak spot. Aim for its head to deal the most damage and disable its flash attack.
- Ranged combat is not particularly advantageous against its flash attack. Stick to melee weapons for this fight and get up close to the monster.
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is quick and agile. Watch for its various attack patterns, including claw swipes, tail swipes, and a leaping attack. Dodge or block accordingly.
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku can stun you with its flash attack. When it opens the flaps on its head, it's about to unleash a blinding light. Dodge to the side to avoid the flash. If you have a shield, raising it can also prevent blindness.
- After the flash attack, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is momentarily vulnerable. Get close to its head, slightly off to the side, and unleash a combo while it recovers. The frills on its head are breakable, rendering the flash attack useless.
- When Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is low on health, it will retreat to its nest in Section 7. This is an opportunity to either capture it or deal significant damage. Be prepared for a final showdown in its nest.
- Use your chosen elemental weapons or ammunition to exploit its weakness. Combine attacks and combos to maximize damage during openings.
- Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is nimble, so stay agile and be ready to dodge its attacks. Learn its movement patterns to anticipate its actions.
- As with any monster hunt, be sure to bring healing items, such as potions and antidotes, to sustain yourself during the fight.

Alright, has no feathers, no wings, not even a beak, and it is a BIRD wyvern. How does that make sense? And no, it is not a dinosaur... I think...

I know this is late, but seriously, guys, the flash inflicts STUN. Equip 3 levels of Stun Resistance and you're completely immune. He basically turns into Kulu-Ya-Ku without the annoying rocks. Easy as pie.

Just killed one that was size 795.70 and still got awarded miniature crown. Maybe they changed the threshold needed for mini?

Tzitzi can move around while doing stun flash in master rank. Flanking him is not as effective as he can turn to face you. You can completely nullify the flash by breaking both antenna. It will only show as broken once, but it can be heard the second time. Good luck fellow hunters!

I've seen this strange icon on the Tzitzi page in game, never seen it before, no other monster has it. Any idea what it is?

I have mixed feeling with this monster on one hand he can be handy agony’s Odogaron but on the other he IS A*****THAT KEEPS FLAHING ME. Fighting Pink Rathian and this dude shows up. Now I’m already poisoned and trying to get away from Mars pink but then I get flashed and die to poison. Another time I was fighting the Paolumu and he shows up flashes AND A *****ING LEGIANA FALLS OUT OF THE SKY.

In regards to "(specify if stun is based on camera or hunter facing)", I can confirm that neither matter. Unless you have stun resistance, if you're in range, you're getting stunned.

By far one of the trolliest monsters. Casually walks up to an epic three-way battle between Legianas, Odogrons, and Hunters, flashes everyone blind, and casually struts away while whistling Camptown Races.
- Anonymous
I think might have a hidden ability to stun monsters without punishing draw or slugger. Hunted a jyrutodus and stunned him like five times with the long sword.
