Yian Garuga Combat Info

  • Kinsect Extracts:
    • Red: Head/Neck
    • Orange: Body/Tail
    • White: Legs/Wings
  • Enraged mode: ??
  • If you have the Ancient Forest on lvl 6 or higher, luring a Yian Garuga will result in spawning a Tempered Scarred Yian Garuga.
  • Its wings are extremely tough and make most weapons bounce, tenderize them if you want to break them.
  • It becomes immune to Pitfall Traps and destroys them when enraged.
  • If you are a veteran player, don't be fooled by its fireball attack, they updated it and it now rapid fires many projectiles in a wide area.
  • Slow it by breaking body parts or baiting out its stamina-intensive beak attacks. Breakable Parts:
    • Head/Neck
    • Body
    • Left Leg
    • Right Leg
    • Left Wing
    • Right Wing
    • Tail
  • Both its head and ears are breakable, so don't stop attacking its head area until you see two parts broken, if
    you need those materials.
  • The arena fight is scaled for two players, so avoid facing him alone unless you wish to impose that kind of challenge on yourself.

This fight may be scary for first timers as the monster is particularly aggressive and will do its attacks seemingly non-stop, the key to the fight is to identify the attacks that make him vulnerable like whis head plunge attack (be careful with this attack in particular since it deals the heaviest damage of its kit) and exploit them for maximum damage. You need to be constantly on alert and get damage in whenever possible. Be sure to hit its head as often as possible, since he is quite weak to stunning. You can deny its roars with Earplugs at level 5 and be sure to bring some Antidotes to deal with its poison.  In essence, cautious manoeuvring, constant vigilance, and strategic exploitation of opportunities are essential to win in this encounter.
