Guardian Armor Set in Monster Hunter World (MHW) Iceborne is one of the several Armor Sets of the game. Sets are comprised of five different pieces, and can be complemented with Charms, Weapons and Mantles. Armor Sets have special effects when equipped, and combine Skills depending on the pieces equipped.

AnonymousThis armor set and the defender weapons single handedly ruined the whole flow of the early game for a lot of people. Easily one of the dumbest decisions Capcom has ever made.

Honestly just save your early game mats and zenny, use this for low/high rank and just learn the monsters in master rank, it's better that way since their moveset is pretty much complete by then. That's what I did and it worked out, I'm already at MR5 and I don't even have rocksteady yet

Since almost all low and highrank armor is now pretty much uselss in iceborn this set is a fantastic introduction.
Its like mediocre high rank gear and speeds up going through the game a lot.

the only positive is if you already played the game and made a new character and didn't wanna grind for 697679879967697 years to get to endgame

this thing was a mistake now new players can just rush the entire game and never have to actually learn how to play then they reach ice borne and get there asses handed to them earlier mr is just stuffed with people with no mantles or decos that never learned how too play the game

Why is this set getting hate? Isn't that the point? Some people are going to be impatient about mucking through the campaign, so for those who just bought the game and catching up to end game, this is actually a good set. It's good a a bandaid especially for me. I had over 400hrs on my PS4 save, but I had to leave home for opportunities and left the PS4 with my brother who also plays. Even if I get to play on it again, I'd feel so far removed from that save file, it would feel empty.

this Armour set is so controversial. In a game where it's about killing monsters and upgrading your gear using defenders weapons and this Armour set just defeats the purpose of the game. You can even take to the end without having to use any upgrades.

New player here (fromsoft games vet), wanting to play traditionally. I have the set but want to delete it, I can't sell it either. Do I really just have to keep the set forever in my inventory even when it becomes irrelevant? I'm on playstation so can't mod or delete files. This is dumb lol
