Grimalkyne Under a Chilly, Wet Roof in Monster Hunter World (MHW) 
Iceborne is an Observation Log. Observation Logs are given by the Lynian Researcher located in Seliana which requires a Hunter to capture different photos for him.
If caught in the rain, Bugtrappers can be spotted struggling under an umbrella fashioned out of a single tree leaf. Some may even dress up for the ocassion. Now this I have to see!

- There's a couple different animation sets for the two cats under the leaf, the one you want is when a third cat appears and ruins the first umbrella cat's date. After a few seconds a 4th cat will appear with a flower on its head. Taking the photo with the flower cat under the umbrella should get you the gold.
- To easily cycle through the animation sets, you can travel back to camp then return to the photo spot and it will reset the animation cycle, so you can reroll for the flower cat animation.
- Any photo in any animation set with 2 cats under the leaf umbrella counts for silver.

SOLUTION FOUND: there is only two possible animations, one where it starts with one cat without an umbrella and another helps it, and the other one that starts with the three cats, stays at one with an umbrella, and then you have to wait for the flower cat to appear.

It took me quite a few tries until i got that animation.
For the future, if you see a lone cat and after a minute the other cat, the one with the flower on the head, doesn't appear fast travel to cycle the animation.

I have same trouble getting the 4th to appear....have reset the animation roll plenty of times and still no 4th appears!!! Help please!!!

i'm trying to do this mission, but nothing, the cat under the leaf is alone , crying and the other whit the flower don't wan't spawn..... I don't know what to do, i try for hours. Is a bug ??? i reset a lot of time the animation traveling camp to camp..they are 2 at the start. the next time i come, one go away whit another can , and the cat is alone , i wait 2 minuts, 10 minuts, and the cat whit the flower don't come.

I was lucky and spawned these two, complete with flower and slug, on my first attempt. Rain at night in Area 6 - upper area - zoomed all the way in and boom, done. For what it's worth - there was a Grimalkyne icon on the map.

For anyone looking to do these kinda quests, do not rely on the icon on the minimap for these events, i did since usually (on all the other quests) it would show you the exact spot on the map where you would need to go to take a picture, but on this on it didn't so i assumed the event didn't spawn and i wasted a lot of time.

Just got it done. Animaton 2 with only 3 cats starts off exactly the same as animation 3 with 4 cats, so you’re not gonna be able to tell at first glance but it is just a short wait to see if which animation you get. Just travel to the nearest camp and run back.
