Slicing Ammo is an Ammo type of Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW).

When fired from a Bowgun, Slicing Ammo releases a single projectile which sticks to a target, causing a rapid chain of five damage ticks after a short delay. Only Bowguns can make use of Slicing Ammo.

Slicing Ammo has the following general properties:

• Damage of each projectile is negligible due to an extremely low combo move multiplier.
• Damage of each tick is calculated independently and is affected by the Player's Attack Power, Affinity (critical hits,) and target multipliers such as monster body parts. Damage is not affected by recoil, Bowgun Deviation, or travel distance.
• Ability to sever tails of Large Monsters, where applicable.

In calculating the damage of each tick, the combo move multiplier for Slicing Ammo is 6 and the Damage Type is Cut for both Light and Heavy Bowguns.
