Crafting in Monster Hunter World (MHW) in divided into several categories. Players may craft whilst in the field, using Items/Materials found from carving monsters or gathering in each Location. Alternatively, players may forge Weapons and Armor by visiting the Smithy and Armory at Astera.
Auto-Crafting
Auto-crafting will automatically craft an item from your crafting list upon picking up the last piece required for the recipe.
If you already have the items in you pouch from your item box, you will need to manually craft them once needed in the field. Using craft recipes in the Radial Menu (see the Controls page) makes this much easier.
Press (on Playstation) or Y (on XBOX) to select the items you'd like to enable auto-crafting for.
Crafting in Monster Hunter World
When using the Item Box, players will find the option to combine items via their "Crafting List". Below are the categories that can be accessed with this feature, as well as detailed guides on what items are created from which materials.
This is a list of all possible combinations in the game order

With Iceborne the following changes have been made. #14 - Now Dust of Life (God Bug + Gloamgrass Bud) #15 - Herbal Powder #16 - Energy Drink #17 - Cool Drink #18 - Hot Drink (made from Hot Peppers) All others have been moved up two numbers thanks to the Dust of Life and the Hot Drink. Also #101 has been added but I haven't figured out what that is yet.
