Catalyst is a Material and a Pouch Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These useful parts are collected by Hunters to craft new Items, and can be brought along on hunts in the Item Pouch.
Works with other materials to enhance their effects. Cannot be used by itself.
Catalyst serves only as a crafting ingredient in making several advanced Healing and Support Items, as well as upgraded levels of Bowgun Ammo. Unlike regular Material Items, Catalyst can be brought to the field in the Item Pouch so that these Items can be crafted on the fly.

How to Acquire Catalyst
This Material can be obtained through Crafting. Additionally, it can be created at the Elder Melder for 20 
Research Points and 30
