Ration is a consumable Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). Meat items are made from Raw Meat carved from Monsters and they can be brought along on hunts. Some meat items can be placed on the ground to lure Monsters and set up traps.
Food that restores a bit of stamina.
Rations can be consumed from the Item Bar while in the field to fully restore Stamina and increase maximum Stamina by 25. The addition of max Stamina stacks on top of concurrent Canteen buffs. Unlike Well-Done Steak, Rations do not slow down the natural decrease of maximum Stamina.
Rations can be obtained by using the Canteen's Oven Roast feature. They are not used in any Crafting. An identical EZ version can be found in the Supply Box during Quests, but these are discarded at the end of the Quest.

The best way to get rations is to skin a bunch of Aptonoth (or have Tailraiders kill a few during their safari) and then oven roast Raw Meat. Do easy to beat investigations and then take the items and oven roast more Raw Meat from the canteen each time you beat an investigation.
