Adamant Seed is a consumable Material and Pouch Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These useful items can be gathered in the field and brought along on hunts.
Temporarily raises your defense when ingested by hardening tissue.
Adamant Seeds can be consumed from the Item Bar while in the field to increase Defense by 20 for 180 seconds or until carting or Quest completion. This buff stacks with boosts to Defense from Hunting Horn melodies, Canteen meals, and other consumables - with the exception of the Adamant Pill. Consuming more than one Adamant Seed refreshes the buff timer.
Additionally, Adamant Seeds can be used to craft more powerful Defense-boosting consumables, such as Hardshell Powder, Armorskin, and the Adamant Pill.

How to Acquire Adamant Seed
Adamant Seeds are obtained by gathering out in the field, completing Quests, or by cultivating them at the Botanical Research Center in Astera.

In Sector 6 of Ancient Forest, there is a climbing path that has an Adamant Seed, just thought peeps should know
I've found 2 locations of it. 1 is with the tailraiders behind the waterfall in section 11. You have to climb all the way up till your pretty much at the top of the area and then swim behind the waterfall. At the beginning of the cave there should be a bush. The other location is in section 10 at the top of the climbing ravine... it dead ends there so make sure you climb all the way to the top and on the NW side there should be a plant.

In the Coral Highlands in Section 11 where the tailraiders are.. above the waterfall where the fisherman is. You have to swim under a waterfall to get the there once you get up high enough. I've found one right at the entrance of the cave every time. I also leave the area let it respawn and then come back to get more.

There is a route which will get you six adamant seeds per run in the coral Highlands. Start in the northeast camp and make a left upon exiting. There should be an adamant seed right there above the sleeping area. Jump down into the sleeping area and there is another one on the edge of the area just to the left. Now make your way to the tailraiders area where there is one right in the entrance. Fast travel back to the camp, wait a couple minutes for respawn, then go again. I farmed adamant seeds very quickly this way. Really helps if you're also cultivating them at the ancient tree.
