Rare Rathian material. Obtained by carving its severed tail. Grants poisonous properties.

AnonymousYou can do the same trick as with the Diablos horns. Just go on an expedition and brake a Rathians head, then go to camp and redeem your rewards. There is a chance you get a Spike+.
Did a silver investigation, Instead of getting the last spike I need the game said screw that you need two rathian rubys.

I'm working under the assumption that each paired set of statistics for drops, the second set is 'Pink Rathian.' I have no scientific basis for this, other than that I have gotten this drop from Pink Rathians before.

Go to the special arena for a Rathian, mount it, then just sit on its back and let it ram its back into the wall three times. After it does this, the back should be broken and you can just return from the quest for a 30% chance at one. Make sure you stay on the back the entire time, except when it's about to ram the wall then you move off on back on again. This method lets you get them fairly quickly, without having to do the entire hunt.
