Nourishing Extract is a material type of item in Monster Hunter World (MHW).
Although a Nourishing Extract cannot be used on its own, it forms an important ingredient for crafting a handful of powerful consumables. Extracts are relatively time-consuming to obtain, thus maintaining a steady supply of the consumables crafted with the extract can be challenging. Luckily, the items crafted with the extract can also be obtained through melding.
How to get Nourishing Extract
This material is primarily obtained as a drop for succesfully hunting either an Odogaron, Dodogama or a Paolumu . It can also be obtained by completing certain quests and as a reward for completing investigations centered on hunting Odogaron, Dodogama or Paolumu.
It can also obtained by the tailraider safari when hunting these monsters and might also be obtained through the Argosy Captain.

If you're farming Nourishing Extracts for the purpose of crafting Mega Demondrugs/Armorskin, then here's a protip: you can use Steam Tickets to meld for Megadrugs/Skin instead, and if you've been running Steamworks regularly, you probably have hundreds of unused Steam Tickets.

They also drop regularly on the Greeting The Gluttons event quest.

Tailrider Safari can obtain these from low rank rotten vale Odo. These cannot be melded, however, you can meld Mega Demondrug and Mega Armorskin. So Geologist rank #1 is actually really good to keep your bones topped up, as opposed to farming Odo or Dodo for nourishing extract.
