I forgot how cool the LR and HR armor looks! Especially for the Female!
Although I am personally not a fan of the MR. It just looks a little………altogether it doesn’t look good. I might be back to give some tips on him but for now happy hunting!!

Really like soloing it with DBs its like one of the greatest battles. Fast demon hunter vs fast demon monster.

I developed a sort of rivalry with old Odo here. since that 1st hunt we've been even with kills. with him pulling some over on me only for me to quickly cut him down. nowadays he's not much of a threat but i'll remember those 1st couple of high speed hunts with him.

this dude is all over the place, use a lance or a gunlance to guard against its fast attacks, use flash pods or bombs to get some hits in

I love the scratch animation its just like how felines do it.

Turf war with Paolumu is one of the most savage things in the game. Feel bad for the little balloon-bat.

I'm suprised he doesnt have a longsword. Thought he would have a unique one in G rank

Probably the best monster in the whole game. Not only is the design really good, this flayed wolf with a really striking, painted style, but the fight itself is excellent too. Sure, he's fast and very mobile, but he still telegraphs his attacks clearly, and does't deal too much damage; Also, he has generous openings that you can exploit if you learn his patterns, so he doesn't feel cheep. All in all a very enjoyable fight. I tend to wear his armour and weapons simply because i don't mind farming him.

There’s a chance for Odogaron to spawn in the “A Tzitzi for Science” quest in Lower Rank(I’m at HR 5) Not sure what is the trigger, but after I hunted down Legiana it spawned around area 5 and 8. It happened twice for me, but maybe because I didn’t spot it earlier it always left the locale before I could kill it
Tbh not too hard. He seems to be quite squishy and damaged by anything that just plain feels bad. As a great sword user, I had a blast as almost all his attacks can be avoided by taking a nice stroll to the left. Keep your distance, cut off the tail (of course!), and promptly tea bag to death.

Anyone else thinks Odogaron's super rage mode looks like the Attack Titan's rage mode from season 1 of Attack on Titan?

I don't recall if it did before, but after Iceborne it has turf wars with Legiana.

Hate this bastard. He may not be particularly difficult to dodge, but he just moves so damn much hitting him becomes a chore. Even with ranged weapons he often jumps out of the way before you can shoot him.
- Anonymous
he's faster to kill using Force Edge/Alastor than Tyrannis cancer

I'm surprised there's no Odogaron Longsword tbh. The armor has a ninja vibe to it, at least on a female character, and the monster itself is stylized like a traditional Japanese painting, with all the swirls on his hide and wierd tusk things in his mouth.
- Anonymous
Personally, this is my favorite monster in the entire game. It has, in my opinion, the coolest design, the coolest attacks, and the coolest everything. Also, this thing reminds me of the wolverine, a lot. It is of the smaller side, yet it is so ferocious and not to be underestimated. It also has huge claws like the wolverine. To top it off, the Odogaron is also seen dragging whole Legiana corpses, which is much bigger than themselves. Wolverines may also drag corpses to their dens as to avoid interruptions!

I was doing the Pink Rathian quest for the first time when I saw this thing lurking around. I just heard its roar at first and wondered why I could hear the Odagaron's roar in the Coral Highlands [At the time, I didn't know it could spawn there]. Since that thing would either destroy me or make me waste my resources for the Pink Rathian fight, I decided to stay behind it and see where it was going. I looked at the map and saw that it was conveniently enough moving towards the Pink Rathian icon on the map, even though it was almost at the very other side of said map. It kept lurking forwards, ignoring every other creature that it came across. After a small while of following behind it, I found out that the Odagaron was actually headed straight for the Pink Rathian, where they immediately began to roar at each other for almost a full minute. The bloodhound was the first to actually attack the Pink Rathian, and that's when the epic fight begun. No matter how many fireballs the dragon spat at the Odogaron, it refused to go down, and it ended with the Pink Rathian actually fleeing. This was the first time the Odagaron kind of acted as my ally! After the dragon fled, the beast simply walked away from the scene, allowing me to pick up all of the materials left behind by the two. [PS, I still died and lost to the damn dragon after 36 minutes of fighting and chasing, by getting stunlocked into two high-damage attacks!]

I think the hostility of it is wrong on this, I can get near it for about a minute and it will roar a few times before attacking, and has never attacked me unless I do that.

I love how the first time it showed up for me, it was in the Rotten Vale and retreated to rest behind a progression roadblock.

I got so lucky getting this bad boy's gem. I was just doing expedition to get odogaron investigation missions, captured it then poof a gem.

I attacked it by mistake thinking it was the monster I was looking for. Got his tail but then he ran away couldn't find him anymore just to find the actual monster I was looking for. Ugh . Such a pain.

Odogaron is not blind. Just because he smells well, he can't see? Try to flash him, it works. Proof he can see.

WooWee does this fella got some spunk. I tell you what. This big ol' scary dog had me thinkin' bout turnin' tail just the other day. So I mustered my courage, jumped right on his back and gave him a whack with a big juicy ham cause this hunter don't mess around. Keep close to him when he circles, stay away from the lawnmower feet and maw and you might make it out a little less shredded than I did.
- Happy Huntin' folks. Your friendly Ham usin' hunter, The Ham Lord. PSN: TheLordOfHams.
