Baitbug is a consumable Pouch Item in Monster Hunter World (MHW). Bait Items allow Hunters to catch specific kinds of fish out in the field.
An insect used as fishing bait. A fish favorite, it practically races down the nearest gilly gullet.
Baitbugs serve only as bait for use with the Fishing Rod, and can be used to entice any kind of fish. Fishing can be made easier with the Master Fisher Skill.
To select Bait Items while fishing, hold 
/
/Q to expand the Item Bar and cycle through baits, similarly to selecting Bowgun Ammo.
