Normal Ammo is an Ammo type in Monster Hunter World (MHW); it comes in three levels.
When fired from a Bowgun, Normal Ammo releases a single projectile which deals Ammo Damage to a target.
All levels of Normal Ammo have the following basic properties:
- Damage of each projectile is affected by the Player's Attack Power, Affinity (critical hits,) target multipliers such as Monster body parts, and distance to the target. Damage is not directly affected by recoil or a Bowgun's level of Deviation.
- Moderate damage falloff - optimal firing range stretches from about one to about five paces away from a target.
- Some Bowguns can fire Normal Ammo in rapid-fire or quick-reload modes.
At optimal firing range, the Combo Move multipliers for Normal Ammo levels 1, 2, and 3 are approximately 10, 20, and 32, respectively. See Attack Power for more information.
Normal Ammo 1 Description:
Ammo for Novices. Gets the job done, but doesn't pack much oomph.
Normal Ammo 2 Description:
Non-specialized ammo. More powerful than Normal Ammo 1.
Normal Ammo 3 Description:
Ammo made with high-quality gunpowder. Each shot packs considerable punch.
How to Acquire Normal Ammo:
Normal Ammo 1 is infinite and the standard type of Ammo for all Hunters. Provided for Free.
Level 2 and level 3 can be crafted or bought.
Additionally, level 2 can often be found in the Supply Box on Quests.
