Dodogama Combat Info

  • Elemental damages: mhw fire damage sFire & BlastblightBlastblight
  • Weaknesses: mhw thunder damage sThunder & mhw water elemental damage sWater
  • Weakness sign: Limps
  • Susceptible to mhw poison status effect s Poison status
  • Weakspots on head and tail, that can be broken.
  • Dodogama collects explosive materials in its mouth, but doing so weakens its massive jaw. Causing the minerals to detonate while they're still in Dodogama's mouth will create a great opening for an attack
  • Dodogama will spit Molten Rocks at the Hunter or at the ground to leave an orange puddle. Getting hit by the Spit or standing in the puddle will cause Blast Blight.

Dodogama Combat Tips

  • To counter the threat posed by Dodogama molten assaults, execute a series of consecutive rolls. This agile maneuver will effectively mitigate both fire damage and the lingering Blast Blight status. Look at the status symbol hovering above your health bar; its disappearance signals your successful evasion.
  • Exploit Dodogama's vulnerability by directing attacks at its lower jaw when laden with rocks – sufficient damage triggers an explosion, toppling the monster and providing a strategic advantage.
  • Navigate Dodo Gamma's charge attack by adeptly dodging to the left or right, evading both knockback and blunt damage. When the monster assumes a bipedal stance, evade behind it to evade potential damage, positioning yourself strategically near its tail for a counteroffensive.
  • During its rolling attack – relocate to the front or rear of the monster to circumvent damage zones and potential knockback.
  • Focus your onslaught on Dodogama's significant weak points, namely its jaw, head, and tail. Optimal damage output can be achieved by targeting the jaw after the monster has amassed rocks, triggering an explosive reaction and dealing substantial damage to its head.
  • Exploit Dodogama's elemental weakness by using Thunder-based attacks, capitalizing on its high vulnerability to such damage. While Ice and Water elemental attacks inflict moderate harm, it's crucial to note the monster's immunity to fire-based assaults. Enhance your arsenal with poison weapons or deploy poison bombs to inflict potent damage over time.
