MH World Acidic Glavenus Attacks & Moveset

Acidic State: Prepare for the onslaught of classic Glavenus maneuvers when Acidic Glavenus enters its acidic state. Expect double tail slams, sweeping 360-degree area assaults, and powerful bites. Exercise caution as the tail leaves behind acid pools, diminishing your attack potency if you come into contact. Positioning yourself wisely and predicting its movements will be crucial in this phase.

Crystalized State: As Acidic Glavenus transitions into its crystalized state, it undergoes a remarkable transformation, becoming more agile and dynamic. Brace yourself for a repertoire of adept movements, including tail swipes, stabs, a unique 360-degree spin followed by a slam, as well as tail swings and cartwheel maneuvers. Staying vigilant and adapting your defensive strategy to this heightened agility will be essential for survival.

Stay Behind Acidic Glavenus: To maximize your safety, stay behind Acidic Glavenus during the battle. Given that most of its attacks are front-facing, positioning yourself strategically behind the creature provides a safer vantage point. Avoid direct confrontations, and exploit blind spots to gain a tactical advantage over this formidable foe.

Watch for Acid Pools: In Acidic Glavenus's regular state, be mindful of the lingering threat left by its tail attacks – acidic pools on the ground. Stepping into these pools weakens your attacks temporarily. Exercise careful footwork and awareness to navigate the battlefield without succumbing to this hazardous terrain.

Crystalized State Awareness: When Acidic Glavenus shifts into its crystalized state, be on high alert for a surge of agile and varied attacks. Observing its movements with precision is key to survival. Time your dodges meticulously to avoid falling victim to its swift and unpredictable assaults. This heightened state demands a heightened level of awareness and adaptability.

Elemental Advantage: Exploit Acidic Glavenus's elemental weaknesses to gain the upper hand in the battle. Utilize fire-based weapons for maximum damage, especially when it enters its crystalized state. Additionally, stay adaptable by adjusting your strategy based on its elemental weaknesses and resistances, ensuring you are well-equipped to face this challenging adversary.

Crazy thought: what happens if this thing either eats you or licks you? Will you burn up and die if it's acid?

      • Anonymous

His weapons make me sad. They could have done super pretty damascus steel pattern things with them, but instead they went for the uninspired "bone with some monster bits on there" approach.

Also, why does a monster that famously sharpens and hones its own tail into a razor sharp blade only get natural blue on its weapons?

i dont know whether or not this is pertinent information or not, but a good way to farm honed acid crysts is as follows. Start a hunt and wallbang until it stops dropping items and have your palico use plunderblade. if you dont want to take the time to kill or capture or kill you can just leave the quest. so long as you pick up the shinies you should keep the items recieved

Literally worse Glavenus in every aspect. So with this trash monster he starts with his tail crystallized. What this means is when he hits you you get defensive down. To counter this you just take armor seeds. You can take a skill but it’s a waste of slots. He’s just Glavenus with a few more moves so there’s not much difference. OH when he hits his tail on the ground there will be acid on the floor that does chip damage and causes defense down. That’s it…worse Glavenus everybody. Hope you have a good day and happy hunting

I stg, this dude loves trying to hug me when I'm playing bow. I literally can't see anything on the screen half the time when I'm aiming.

He does have a Green Kinsect extract somewhere between his tail and belly. Managed to hit it few times but its really rare.

                • found Acidic Glavenus with a Large Golden Crown at the size of "2894.38" at the Event Quest. I do have Glavenus at "2978.41" Large Gold Crown but so far, haven't found Acidic Glavenus at the same size. I'm not even sure it existed. However, I did found Odogaron and Ebony Odogaron having the same large size of "1735.94" Large Gold Crown.

                    • Hello my fellow hunters, mortals seem to be having a problem with this monster so I thought I could shed some light on some forbidden tips. If you use weapons that have a Pretty good damage outputs you can clutch claw to his Face and back since he has 2 or 3 moves that will knock you off in those areas. If you use HH and Hammer the head is a good place to clutch to because of stun damage. You Can also lead him to Tigrex and He will do 2000 to 4000 damage and he can possibly make him tired. Anyway my dads yelling at me to go to sleep so farewell and good luck. (P.S if your having any troubles please comment and I'll do my best to help.)

ok so the other day i went to fight this dude and...
me: i will stun him with a piercing pod ( throws piercing pod )
acidic glavenus: ( stars shapening his tail )
friend: BRO WHY DIDN'T YOU THROW IT?
me: i threw IT!!! *controller dies* oh **** oh ****
I... I AM trying TO RUN AWAY
                        friend: bro i dont give a ****
me: GO AWAY YOU GARBAGE DISPOSAL
acidic glavenus: *kills me with sharp tail*

Either my game broke or this bastard's AI is modeled after a kangaroo. It would use the jump attack on my palico constantly and i could not get close to it due to the horrendou*****box on that attack.

When I first saw the acid pools I thought the exact same thing as rage gaming: "hmm what happens if I just step on it?". I literally thought it would get me dragon blight but instead defense down. I was really dumb that time like he doesn't even do any dragon related things! His armor is the best for rotton vale btw

I hate him... I used to like him but now I don't. here's a tip... don't take a plaico with you into his special arena... he keeps chasing your palico with his jumps and barely uses his tail... I basically had to chase him for 20 min straight sins I'm a DB user... and every time I got anywhere near him, he would jump away again and deal way too much damage... and when I think "oh, since he ignores me, I might as well carve it's tail that I somehow managed to break off," my palico just desides to run back to me... F*k this monster and F*k my palico! both can go die...

The trivia says acidic glavenus tail blade was based on a katana/longsword so then why the #$_#@ did they do my boy so dirty with the bone***** on the katana of all weapons when other types have unique designs????!

                                • Anonymous

The weapons this thing makes are extremely underwhelming. I sure hope they can inflict defense down because otherwise they are just an insult compared to other weapons.
