Legiana is a Large Monster in Monster Hunter World (MHW). レイギエナ in Japanese.
The apex monster of the Coral Highlands, whose diet primarily consists of Raphinos. It emits a chilling wind from its body, which dulls its prey's ability to escape.

- The membrane that covers its entire body enables Legiana to move with incredible speed. Damaging this membrane should help with slowing it down. Poison attacks have also been known to be effective.
- Master Rank Changes:
- A Flashpod will not be enough to knock it out of the sky, but may still stun it. Performing a Slinger Burst (Flinch Shot) should do the trick.

AnonymousIf you’re having trouble fighting leg as a low rank hunter than build a water lance and kill a rathalos and make a rathalos lance (it’s the fire lance) or you could instead make a blooming lance (it has poison). Lance is easy to learn and is very defense oriented, so it is a good weapon for beginners as long as you remember to be patient as it is quite slow.

Honestly, Legiana has got to be my favourite Monster in MHW. Tobi-Kadachi might be a close second. The fights always felt really interesting, especially with my choice of weapon (mained Insect Glaive at first, now play mostly Longsword and Hammer).
Honestly, anyone who wants an interesting fight, practice the aerial moves of Insect Glaive and then fight a Legiana. You can thank me later, enjoy MH's version of a Dogfight.

Legiana is descripted as a male in the game, I find the pronounce "it"? Rathalos is male too, Rathian a female, Teostra is make, Lunasta a female. Diablos a male, black Diablos a female in the heat.

Question: So please clarify... for Legiana (High rank) Plate, you must kill the monster and carve it... (harvest it with circle).
Whereas for the Legiana Gem, to be able to get this mat, you must meet the requirements to break head, back, AND tail, and then harvest it using circle. Now it's not a guaranteed Mat, but it opens up the doorway for a CHANCE to get the mat. Is that correct?
Also, carves are different from rewards, rewards are dependent on parts broken and stuff, right? A separate set of loot.

Equip flash pods as well as the EZ flash pod and use fire or electric element dual swords. When it's dazed or when it lands on the ground Demon slash the hell out of it's head. Does the trick for me, make sure to use Max potion and Might seed for added health and attack damage.
