Can this GS at least be used as a cosmetic on other GS weapons?

They made the best GS outright bad. I mean, I appreciate having different weapons to choose from that are all viable one way or another, but this is just bad in every way. Even if it didn't have negative affinity, I still wouldn't use it.

*Kevin Sorbo voice* DISSAPOINTING!!! like srsly not only did it gain much less raw compaired to the nergi GS which was equal in highrank. it also got "promoted" to highest rarity which just means less augmentation slots... if they made its element active on its own, the element gs crit draw with frostcraft might have been a neat idea, but at this point it is just eating the insult that got hurled at GS users. also i want to point out that all that nerfing this weapon did is that you see more hunters running arround with an ugly boneblade with monster bits, instead of a cool looking weapon. also looking how much bloody sharpness and positiv affinity the new CB got makes this here an absolute joke.
question : if i use free element. and then add full slot of fire atk jewel. is still increase or allready at the cap, when using free element?
