Elder Dragons are species in Monster Hunter World (MHW). Species refers to the classification of different Monsters within the ecosystem, and determine certain characteristics of the monsters, their habitat and their actions.

KD-self explanatory
Lunastra- it’s just annoying and aggravating to fight, and I think it looks worse then teo
Kirin-again another annoying fight
Zoah- it’s just a long cutscene really
KT- neat monster ruined by a stupid siege mechanic
Behemoth- he hurts, a lot, like a lot a lot
Teo- kinda forgot about him
Blackveil- worse vaal, manly because you fight him in the forest which makes the fight much more annoying then if it was in the vale
Xeno- cool looking, meh fight
Nergi- fun fight, fast paced, but have bad memories of being repeatedly defeated when I first fought him
Namielle- utterly gorgeous and a nice fight, have to say though nami has a underwhelming theme
Alatreon- a would be perfect fight, buuuut EJ does hold it back a bit
Shara- a great final boss, that’s all I have to say
Safi- better xeno
Velkhana- literally my third favorite monster of all time. Don’t judge me
I haven’t reached master rank 100. Nor beat fatalis yet so I’m not ranking them

Just a fun lil fact: after killing a elder dragon in iceborne, that elder dragon you killed can appear in expiditions, or maybe level guiding lands, idk.

Just got back into hunting and I finally slayed Nergigante! Tough fight but it was fun. Kushala Daora though, kinda boring fight ngl. Slayed it a lot faster than I did Nergigante

Rating Elders i fought so far from hardest to easiest in story mode:
- Kushala Daora: i don’t get it i thought i’m gonna slay it with no faint ended up i fainted 2 times LOL its tornadoes especially when it comes to its nest and the tornadoes are all over the land i can’t barely near it let alone hit it :D
- Nergigante: this mothertrucker is so agile and the dive bomb thing man that shi* HURT.
- Vaal Hazak: People say its hard to slay. It’s kind of easy for me, its attack set is slow and u can read when one of them gonna come.
- Teostra: Its kind of agile but again his move set is easy to read. And i wore a full HR Diablos armor so maybe that’s why his fire attacks are not really upsetting.
- Xeno’jiiva: Its HUGEEEEEE but just huge, its damage is kind of wack and his move sets are reallyyy easy to read. Some people say they failed at their first attempt cuz times out, but i slay him 30 mins with no faint. So i feel like i really did a great job on this one :D

- I only play with HAMMER and that’s it
- I’m solo player
- Winged wyverns are really my enemy especially them who airborne so much, i’d rather fight Vaal Hazak 10x than have to deal with Azure rathalos LOL

I once was in the guiding lands and lured an elder dragon at the perfect timing because there waa two elder dragons in the guiding lands (I lured Kirin then Blackveil Vaal Hazak appereaed)

Namielle has the most beautiful design IMO. When it's hydrated, it's really colorful. While Shara Ishvalda is the most unique. This one, this one literally human look alike. Forward facing eyes, human teeths , hand-like wings, and it often stand with its two legs. These two Dragons will be always my favorite, alongside with R. Nergigante

Idk why but for some reason I can’t find ANY Elder dragons! I have just beaten the game and even after I fought nergigante I still couldn’t find him! My friend however, has seen multiple elder dragons on his little monster map that tells you what monsters are there. Do I have a buggy game or is it just luck?

When the last monster hunter game had 8 elder dragons... this is a disappointment. I hope they add more returning monsters including some of the best elder dragon
