A Whisper of White Mane is an Event Quest in Monster Hunter World (MHW). Event quests are repeatable but can only be participated in during the time which they are live.

A Whisper of White Mane Walkthrough and Tips
- Kirin's only weak spot is the horn.
- Without minds eye(From the weapon, Lunastra armor or Decoration) "bouncing" will become an issue if you hit any part other than the horn.
- Kirin is immune to flashes and paralysis.

<15 minute clears with taroth assault glutton HBG, spread 3 ammo, and lots of life saving measures. I am terrible with HBG or I would go for max DEEEPS and sub 5 minute clears.

I'm clearing Arch-Tempered Kirin solo under 30mins. I don't think this is particularly fast, but it works. Weapon: Sin Dual-blade (Fire type + White Sharpness, which helps against bouncing off when Kirin goes Saiyan. Armor: **All armor pieces are augmented to unlock max upgrade, and all armors are upgraded to the max level. Kirin Horn B (Marathon runner Lvl2) Rathalos Mail B (Weakness Exploit Lvl2, Rathalos Mastery 1/2) Dober Vambraces B (Stamina Surge Lvl1) Kulve Taroth's Malice B (Free Elem Lvl1, Handicraft Lvl1) Rathalos Greaves B (Jump Master Lvl1) Awakening Charm II (Free Elem Lvl2) Decorations: Thunder Res Jewel 1 x3 Vitality Jewel 1 x2 Tenderizer Jewel 2 x1 Blaze Jewel 1 x1 Mantles: Thunderproof (Lasts quite a long time, usually Temporal mantle is almost back up when this wears off) Temporal (Start the fight with this, and whenever you have it on, focus on doing as much damage as you can) Strategy: Dual blade has the advantage of mobility, especially in demon mode, so abuse this. The B/Circ attack in demon mode lets you cover great distances, and also seems to not bounce even at blue sharpness against Saiyan mode Kirin. For quick hit and run, B/Circ in, then dodge back out. Kirin's most vulnerable moments are when unleashing strong lightning attacks. The large frontal lightning AOE is a good opening to do a longer combo. The linear AOE lightning stripe attacks are also good openings. If Kirin is in the strip lightning AOE attack though, you just have to wait until that one goes off and immediately flail on it. Other openings really depend on the hunter's own judgement and discretion. Knocking Kirin down, which is most reliable by mounting, can offer the biggest window for dealing damage to the horns. It's a match of endurance, so as long as you are damaging Kirin, if you can be patient and survive attacks, then you'll have no problem bringing it down.

For those who are trying to do this on pc but are failing, get those skills : Thunder Resistance 3 Health boost 3 Then pick your weapon of choice (In my case HBG) and aim away at the horns ! For the record, I used Sticky 3 + Slicing on the Luna-Xeno HBG with Ammo up 3 and Xeno's set bonus, works like a charm :) And for those asked for the set : Rath Head B Xeno Chest B Xeno Arms B Xeno Waist B Kiring Legs A Artillery 3 charm (Forgot the name) Deco : 1x Attack, 1x Release, 1x ThunderRes, 3x Vitality Have fun hunting !

I cant seem to do this solo, anytime i group either i die or everyone else does. Is there anyone willing to help me kill this on xbox one? My user is GreenTheFae
With a Safi aqua shot and fatalis gear this takes me 3 minutes to finish. I ain't a speed runner and compared to the other arch tempered elder quests, this one has to be the easiest with AT nerg being the worst.
