updated the page for another tidbit of important info... you will not get the bone from the monsters listed until after you kill Barioth for the first time... hence why other people are reporting that they have farmed dif monsters and never seen it.

So there seems to be some confusion on where and how to get Monster Slogbones, and I think I have the answer. I made a similar post on the Monster Solidbone page, which was another material that is having a similar issue as to where and how you get it, so feel free to check that out too. So, people seem to be confused because the Hunter's Notes in-game say that the only monster that drops this material is Tigrex. The wiki also says the same thing. BUT people are reporting getting them from other monsters as well, which has caused a debate over which monsters Monster Slogbone drops from. Well, after about an hour or two of research/running quests in-game, I think I've found the answer. If you look on websites that have datamined the drop rates for Monster Slogbone, you'll see that it says the same thing that the Hunter's Notes say; the only monster that drops them is Tigrex. Based on my research, I've arrived to the conclusion that TIGREX IS INDEED THE ONLY MONSTER THAT DROPS THIS AS A REWARD. So then why are people getting them as drops from other monsters? They aren't. If you look at websites that have datamined drop rates such as Kiranico or Poedb, you'll see that although Tigrex is the only monster that drops Monster Slogbones, there are like 20-30 quests that drop Monster Slogbones as quest rewards as well! I think what people have been doing is going into these quests and getting Monster Slogbones as rewards, and then thinking that the Monster Slogbones came from the MONSTER drop table, when in reality the Monster Slogbones came from the QUEST drop table. For the rewards that show up in the Quest Rewards box in the rewards screen after a quest, there's no way to tell the difference between which of those rewards were given to you from the monster loot table and which rewards were given to you from the quest loot table. So all these people have been doing quests that have Monster Slogbone as a possible reward for completing the quest, but when they get them in the reward box they make the mistake of thinking the Monster Slogbones came from the MONSTER, when in reality they came from COMPLETING THE QUEST. A lot of people are also saying that the only way to make monsters start dropping these is by completing the Barioth quest that is part of the main campaign, but that's only technically true. Hunting Barioth during the story DOES NOT make monsters start dropping Monster Slogbones. What it does is it unlocks Master Rank 3 Quests, and if you look on the aforementioned websites that datamined the drop rates for Monster Slogbones, guess which quests drop them? Master Rank 3 Quests and above. So basically, most of the Master Rank 3+ Quests reward Monster Slogbones as part of their quest rewards, and In order to unlock MR3 quests, you have to complete the Assigned Quest "Blizzard Blitz", which is the story quest where you have to hunt Barioth. This is what has lead to some confusion about having to fight Barioth before monsters can drop Monster Slogbones, which is technically correct, except it doesn't make monsters drop them, it unlocks the quests that drop them.
