obviously others have said this but this article is wrong, its found in Ancient Forest. I've been looking for like 25 min and I dont think it even spawns in rotten vale. even if it does and just has a ridiculously low drop chance the fact that ancient forest wasnt listed is absurd.

Often found in the rotten vale, boi the only location stated is hoarfrost reach
In all areas when farming this material I've noticed they only drop from Blue Ore veins, not the Red Ore Veins. I've had my best luck with the Wildspire waste. This is the path I used - Start at the blue vein on northside of area 5, at the path that leads to area 6, work your way around the LEFT side of area 6, theres a blue ore vein in Kulas room, until you get to the path that leads down into area 13 (Diablos zone), grab the blue vein at the entrance and then go straight to area 14, get the 2 blue veins in there, head back out to 13 and get the 2 blue veins in the main room and then work your way up the ramp that leads up to area 8 getting the two blue veins along the way, then head to area 7, grab the blue vein at the bottom of that little pit that monsters usually jump over, climb up the vines and take your first right, you'll immediately see the blue ore vein, grab it and theres one right above that on that little cliff that the cats like to hang out on. Return to start and start over if need be. Keep in mind Meldspar isn't a 100 percent drop rate but with this path you will be able to get a good amount if not all the Meldspar you need.
I'm sure this path was already thought up but I don't look up ore paths tbh this is just here to help people. Hope it helps!
