Master Gatherer is a Skill in Monster Hunter World (MHW).
Master Gatherer Effect
Master Gatherer is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
Level 1: Speeds up gathering and prevents knockbacks while gathering.
It is worthwhile to note that it doesn't prevent being sent flying by Large Monsters. Only knockback from small monsters like Jagras or Girros. Even then, it doesn't negate statis effects from small monsters like Girros, so it's pretty useless!
Equipment that grants Master Gatherer
You can increase the level of Master Gatherer by equipping the following items.
- Chainmail Headgear (x1)
- Chainmail Headgear Alpha (x1)
- Chainmail Headgear Beta (x1)
- Commission Gorget Alpha (x1)
- Gatherer's Charm (x1)

AnonymousYou guys don't get it, this skill, along with "Carving Pro" only activate WHILE you're gathering/carving. Stop saying "Things are still knocking me around!" Of course they are, if you want to get rid of that, use a freaking rocksteady mantle.

Most useful thing about this is to speed up gathering items from points during expeditions. I usually pair this up with Anti-Para to prevent vespids from stabbing me while I'm just trying to gather ore.

Speeds up gathering from ore veins, bonepiles and plants /gather objects like flowers or mushrooms

Does this even work? Kestadons are still knocking me all over the place.

This skill is bullsh*t and doesn't work. Everything still topples you over when you're hit
one of the most useful skills in the game, i mean this is farming hunter after all
