Power Prolonger is a Skill in Monster Hunter World (MHW).
Power Prolonger Effect
Power Prolonger is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
Level 1: Bonus duration +10%- Level 2: Bonus duration +20%
- Level 3: Bonus duration +40%
Notes the effect per weapon do not always match up with the description for two weapons
Duelsword/Switchaxe:
Lv1: 30% Longer duration; Lv2: 60% Longer duration; Lv3; 100% Longer duration
Switch Axe
Amped sword state duration
- Power Prolonger level 0 ~45seconds
- Power Prolonger level 1 ~60seconds
- Power Prolonger level 2 ~72seconds
- Power Prolonger level 3 ~90seconds
Power Axe Buff duration
- Power Prolonger level 0 ~45seconds
- Power Prolonger level 1 ~60seconds
- Power Prolonger level 2 ~72seconds
- Power Prolonger level 3 ~90seconds
Charge Blade
Sword Charge(Levels.Time)
- Power Prolonger level 0 ~45 seconds
- Power Prolonger level 1 ~50 seconds

- Power Prolonger level 0 ~150 seconds(~180)
- Power Prolonger level 1 ~165 seconds(~195)
- Power Prolonger level 2 ~180 seconds(~210)
- Power Prolonger level 3 ~210 seconds(~250)
Power Axe
- Power Prolonger level 0 ~11 seconds
- Power Prolonger level 1 ~12 seconds
- Power Prolonger level 2 ~13 seconds

Is this ability bugged for Charge Blade, I notice the effects of a charged blade and shield don't seem to be enhanced any further than what they are normally

The Glavenus Chest armor provides 2 levels of Power Prolonger, the Barioth Chest armor provides a level or two as well.
Stacks with Insect Glaive's Spirit +50% essence duration for a max of 189 sec extracts but does NOT affect the Spirit/Strength buffs themselves.

An Absolute must have for Switch Axe ZSD spamming! Maybe the most fun build in the game.... imho.

How does it affect the Dual Blades? Most of the time you "waste" the charge while doing moves so I don't get how useful could this be compared to the other weapons

Power Prolonger’s stat bonus seems to have been buffed.
The wiki during the time of this comment lists Lv 3 as a +30%, but the skill in-game now says +40%.
Correct stat:
Lv 3 Bonus duration +40%

i dont know why but even with kapacity boost and level 3 power prolonger my charge blades shield only lasts 180 seconds, are these numbers still up to date?
