Giant Vigorwasp is an Endemic Life creature in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These animals and insects are found out in the field, and can be captured by dedicated Hunters looking to research the New World.

 

Its nectar has stronger healing properties than average, and it even releases a healing mist when its sac is ruptured!

Capturing Rewards

You can capture Giant Vigorwasp by using the infinite item "capture net" then aiming for the creature with the control's trigger and pressing Square on your controller when the outline of the frame turns orange.

  • House placing: Carpet, Floor, Hearth, Garden, Sky
  • Other rewards: 40 RP

 

Notes

  • The player can activate the Giant Vigorwasp in the field to get a strong heal and create an healing mist. It'll however make it disappear.
  • Appears to be a fixed spawn.
  • Sizes:  97.18 ~ 144.55

      Seems to be some small misconceptions in these comments. These guys are NOT rare at all, they will always spawn in their locations on those two maps. The forest one is underneath Anjanath's nest, where Jho sleeps, and the guiding lands one is in the back left corner of the top zone where most forest monsters sleep. Super useful but niche since they have so few spawning spots.

        The easiest way to get this is to do the first witcher quest where you play Geralt and do the sidequest with the gajalaka. After defeating the gajalaka king you can capture the vasp flying there. I dont know if you can do this before/during the fight without failing the quest.

          I captured one in coral highlands (i think it was day) in the zone that's just south of the camp on 12. I forgot the zone number.
