You can find Great Goldenfish in:
- Coral Highlands, sector 14
- Rotten Vale, sector 9, 10, 15
- Elder's Recess, sector 8 inside the camp
- Hoarfrost Reach
Great Goldenfish Capturing Rewards
You can capture Great Goldenfish by using the infinite item "capture net" then aiming for the creature with the control's trigger and pressing Square on your controller when the outline of the frame turns orange.

i found one at the very end of area 15 in rotten vale, in a pond to the left of where the grimalkynes are (same place that the petricanths spawns). it only spawns rarely, but fishing all of the fish and/or leaving the area will reset it, so I just kept doing that until it showed up. pretty sure you cant use the net tho. Have to do a fishing minigame
