Wiggler Queen is an Endemic Life creature in Monster Hunter World (MHW). These animals and insects are found out in the field, and can be captured by dedicated Hunters looking to research the New World.  It is the rare variant of the wiggler.

This empress of the night only appears when there's a full moon! Let's see if she'll deign to show us her royal feet... URRGH! Nope...

Location

You can find Wiggler Queen in:

Spawns randomly within Wiggler groups at night. By crouching (pressing the dodge button while standing still) and moving slowly, or by simply using the Ghillie Mantle, you can avoid it fleeing as you approach.

Capturing Rewards

You can capture Wiggler Queen by using the infinite item "capture net" then aiming for the creature with the left trigger and pressing the right trigger on your controller when the outline of the frame turns orange.

  • House placing: Pot, Garden
  • Other rewards: 180 RP

Notes

  • Wiggler Queen will not come back out of the ground if you startle it. This seems to imply that every time Wigglers come out of the ground, it's a new group that spawns in.
  • The Wiggler Queen has bigger fins than the standard Wiggler, and her head glows with a red light.
  • Wiggler Queens have a higher chance of spawning in the Event Quest "Every Hunter's Dream II"
  • Sizes: 166.30~ 247.37

If you see her and you don't have a ghillie mantle, try crouching. It should let you get a lot closer to her than normal.

I was on the quest "both ends" and my friend caught one and I missed mine by a millimeter and then shortly after rolled straight into a beam of water... yay just my luck

Found this on another thread (think it was Reddit) so credits go to that person. Master Rank event quest "Every Hunter's Dream II" is guaranteed to spawn some Wiggler Queens. I was easily able to catch 3 within one instance of the event with the ghillie mantle.

I saw her, was waiting patiently for my ghile mantle to recharge, Tzitzi walks into the area and scares her away.

Can confirm they spawn more during the night and not on day! Just walk crouch approximately 5m away and use your capture net to get them :) practice on a few wigglers to get a feel for right distance!

I got a full suite of them. Basically: Sneak or take ghillie mantle, get somewhat close and catch with net. Oh, and if you want to see her feet, shoot her with redpit or something. Have fun!
